Being authentic means coming from a real place within. It is when our actions and words are in line with our beliefs and values. It is being ourselves, not an imitation of what we think we should be or have been told we should be.
Are you living life with your own beliefs and values? Some of the things to help you live a more joyful and authentic life:
- Tuning into my feelings and really thinking “how do I feel about this?” And “is this something I want to do?”
- Having the courage to say no to things I don’t wan to do and learning not to feel so guilty for putting myself first.
- Saying yes to anything that brings me joy.
- Trying new things to see if I like them and learning more about what I like and don’t like.
- Putting boundaries in place with the people I know who don’t make me feel good.
- Telling myself that my feelings are valid, I am enough and I am worthy of a happier life.
- Working on not caring so much about what other people think of me.
- Making time for myself for mindfulness, meditation, journaling, connecting, reading, grounding and
- Spending time in nature
